ITIL v3 Manager's Bridging

Upgrade to ITILv3 Expert Certification
Candidates who have achieved the V1 or V2 Service Manager certification can gain the V3 ITIL Expert certification by attending this course and successfully completing the Manager Bridge Examination sat on the fifth day.

Over the first four days delegates cover the subject areas of all five Lifecycle stages which are new to V3 and those existing subject areas of V2 which have undergone significant change in V3. The morning of the fifth day focusses on exam preparation prior to sitting the 90 minute exam (details of which are available below).

This qualification will bridge the gap between the ITIL V1 or V2 Service Manager Certificate in IT Service Management and the ITIL Expert certification in IT Service Management. This course is only intended for those holding a valid ITIL Manager's Certificate in IT Service Management based on ITIL versions 1 and 2 and those holding v2 Practitioner Certificates who have accrued sufficient credits.

Who will the course benefit?Individuals who already hold the Manager's Certificate in IT Service
Management at an earlier ITIL version, who wish to obtain the ITIL
Expert in IT Service Management, thereby demonstrating their
knowledge of ITIL V3.

Individuals who hold sufficient v2 Practitioner Credits and would like
to obtain the ITIL Expert qualification by successfully completing
the V3 Managers Bridge and The Managing Across the Lifecycle
accredited courses and examinations.

Course Objectives
To introduce and explore the differences between ITIL v2 and v3 including; the lifecycle, principles, concepts, processes, functions and roles. In doing so to prepare delegates for the ITIL v3 Manager's Bridging course.

Pre-Requisites
This qualification is ONLY available to candidates who already hold the Manager's Certificate in IT Service Management or sufficient V2 Practitioner credits. There is mandatory accredited course attendance for this examination. Candidates are expected to be familiar with the content of the five ITIL Service Lifecycle Core publications

Examinations
This is a 90 minute* closed book, Twenty (20) question Scenario-based, complex multiplechoice examination consisting of 10 Scenarios with 2 questions on each.
The pass Mark is 80% (16/20). This module counts as 5 credits towards the ITIL Expert Certification.

NotesIn order to benefit fully from the course, all candidates should read the ITIL Service Lifecycle Practices core guidance before attending the course, which includes:

- Service Operation
- Continual Service Improvement
- Introduction to the Service Lifecycle (Optional but recommended)
Candidates must provide proof of attaining previous qualifications when registering for the course.
